How a quiet apartment clearance works
If you're reading this, something hard has probably already happened. This page exists so that one part of what's ahead, the clearing of an apartment, holds no surprises. It's the whole process, in order, written plainly. Nothing here asks you to hurry.
First, a conversation
It starts with a note or a call, whenever you're ready. You tell us roughly what the situation is: an estate, a move into care, an apartment that has to go back to a landlord or be readied for sale. We listen more than we talk. If dates matter, strata, a sale campaign, a lease ending, we note them; if they don't, nothing gets invented.
Walking through together
Someone comes to see the apartment with you, or with a local relative, a neighbour with a key, or over a video call if the family is interstate or overseas, that's common and it works. We look at what's there, you tell us what you already know you want kept, and we agree the ground rules: what leaves, what stays, what's decided later. From that walk comes one fixed price for the clearance, in writing, with no meter behind it.
The set-aside, before anything else
On clearing day, before the first box moves, the crew's standing rule takes effect: anything personal that surfaces, photographs, letters, documents, jewellery, medals, the things that live in the backs of drawers, goes into a set-aside box, not onto the truck. Unsure means it stays. The box comes to you at the end, and nothing in it was judged by a stranger in a hurry.
The quiet clear
Then the apartment is cleared, room by room, at a working pace rather than a racing one. Good furniture and useful things are offered for reuse where practical rather than tipped; regulated streams like electronics and white goods go to licensed facilities; the rest is sorted and disposed of properly. In the building, the crew is deliberately unremarkable: lift booked as the building requires, corridors padded, nothing about the day announcing itself to neighbours.
The handover
At the end the apartment is empty and swept, the set-aside box is in your hands, and whatever confirmation your solicitor, agent or the strata needs for their file is provided. If a bond clean or a stylist comes next, the space is ready for them.
What it costs, honestly
One fixed figure, agreed after the walkthrough, before anything is moved. No prices live on this website for any job, because an honest number needs to see the apartment first, and that's doubly true here.
